Pet Shop Retail Sales Assistant.

CLIFTON VILLAGE, BRISTOL.

Doghouse is a unique concept; we're a pet shop, grooming salon and café in one, designed as a haven for dogs and dog lovers to come together over a great cup of coffee. We want owners and their dogs to feel at home when they stop by so friendliness and great communication is a must when working for us.

We are looking for an individual who is happy to work in a busy shop environment and in our café as a barista. Benefits include a happy workplace, competitive salary, on-going specialist training, great coffee, annual leave and pension.

We're looking for both part time and full time candidates: 4 or 5 days a week which will be mainly at the weekend, but sometimes during the week. There will be an opportunity for additional days and hours as and when required.

Working at Doghouse can be demanding, physically and mentally, but the work is varied, the customers are lovely and the puppy kisses are an added bonus.

We are looking for candidates with an enthusiasm for dogs, design & independent stores, who are motivated to work independently and as part of our small team with a minimum of 1+ years experience working in retail or a busy coffee shop environment.

Pet shop experience, or having an in-depth knowledge of pet products, is preferred, but we will give support with ongoing in-store training.

The role will involve:

• Providing friendly & outstanding customer service to our wonderful furry customers... and their humans!
• Managing the online booking diary for grooming appointments
• Keeping a detailed record of stock & customer orders
• Maintaining a high level of store presentation
• Developing product knowledge
• Accepting deliveries & checking stock received (this can be hard physical work)
• Preparing and serving speciality coffee

All of our roles will include weekend work.

Qualified Dog Groomer.

We're on the lookout for dog groomers with experience to join our fabulous team, please get in touch to the email below if you are interested in working with us.

DOGHOUSE is independent, female owned business, we care about each other as a team and this shines through in the everything we do. Our groomers are able to really get to know the dogs they groom (and their owners!) and develop strong relationships.

We practice compassionate grooming and each groomer grooms 3 to 4 dogs a day, which means you can work at a comfortable pace, without the need to rush the dog out the door and onto the next groom.

We are looking for candidates with real dog grooming experience, whether that's experience in a busy salon, experience running your own company, or experience from a hands-on training qualification - we'd love to hear from you.

Have experience working in a busy grooming environment.

The ideal candidate will:

Have a City & Guilds Level 3 dog grooming qualification and/or similar relevant experience/qualifications

Be able to provide friendly and outstanding customer service.

Keep detailed grooming records.

Maintain a high level of presentation in the salon.

Manage the salon booking diary efficiently.

Traits: friendly, hardworking, team player, eye for detail, great communication skills, dedicated and loyal.
