Organising by size, then colour

Group all products by size first (XS → XL), then arrange by colour within each size group. This makes it easy for customers to quickly find their dog's size and choose a colour they love — reducing time spent searching and increasing confidence at the till.

Hero pieces & impulse buys

Place your most eye-catching or seasonal piece at eye level or near the entrance. Position lower-price accessories (bandanas, bows, snoods) near the till as impulse purchases. Customers who came in for a coat will often add on a matching accessory if it is displayed nearby.

Using a mannequin dog

A mannequin or plush display dog dressed in your current hero piece dramatically increases dwell time. Position it at standing height where customers entering the shop will see it. Change the outfit every 2–3 weeks — regulars will notice and it gives you a natural conversation starter.
